17th Street has been the historic focus of the gay community in DC.  As the community has shifted to other areas, and new neighborhoods have been revitalized, the refurbishment of this streetscape was seen as a way keep this mixed -use area vibrant. Ed Hamm lead the early planning and design phases of this effort while with Rhodeside and Harwell. This project was completed with Volkert Engineers.
